How to cancel PlayStation Plus
The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.
Canceling
On the web, sign in to Account Management, choose Subscription, then select Cancel below PlayStation Plus. PlayStation says the subscription is deactivated from the next payment date.
1, 3 or 12 months
Renews automatically; cancel any time before the next payment date.
Plus games stop working
Games you downloaded at no cost through PlayStation Plus are no longer available after the membership ends.
On the web
- Sign in to Account Management.
- Select Subscription.
- Select Cancel below PlayStation Plus.
Changed your mind? Select Reactivate Subscription to keep it.
On PS5
- Go to Settings → Users and Accounts.
- Select Account → Payment and Subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select PlayStation Plus → Cancel Subscription.
Some subscriptions can also be stopped under Settings → Users and Accounts → Account → Payment and Subscriptions → Game and App Services: select the subscription, then Turn Off Auto-Renewal.
In the PlayStation App
- Select the PlayStation Store icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the menu icon at the top right and choose Subscriptions Management.
- Select Cancel below PlayStation Plus.
What happens after you cancel
PlayStation says a canceled subscription is deactivated from the next payment date — you keep it until then. The same steps cancel other subscriptions bought through PlayStation, such as EA Play, GTA+ or Ubisoft+ Classics.
Games you got through PlayStation Plus stop being available when the membership ends.
