How to cancel Norton 360
The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.
Renewal, refunds and the virus promise
Norton 360 is a yearly subscription that renews at the regular price after the discounted first year. Norton offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. Its Virus Protection Promise — your money back if Norton experts can’t remove a virus — requires an automatically renewing subscription.
Yearly
First year discounted, then the renewal price.
60-day guarantee
Money back within 60 days, according to Norton.
Auto-renew trade-off
Turning off auto-renew avoids surprise charges but also ends the Virus Protection Promise.
Turn off automatic renewal
- Sign in to your Norton account.
- On the My Account page, select the My Subscriptions tab.
- Find the subscription and click Cancel Subscription Renewal or Manage Renewal.
- Next to Plan Renewal, click Unsubscribe.
- Select a reason and click Next. Norton may show offers to keep you; to continue, click No thanks, cancel my subscription, then Next.
A confirmation appears. Norton says to allow up to 24 hours for the change to show in your account.

What happens next
Your protection continues until the end of the term you already paid for; then the subscription ends and doesn’t renew. Turning off auto-renewal may also end benefits tied to it — Norton’s Virus Protection Promise requires an automatically renewing subscription.
Refunds
Under Norton’s cancellation and refund policy:
- Yearly subscriptions: a full refund if requested within 60 days of purchase — and each later yearly charge within 60 days of being charged.
- Monthly subscriptions: a full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase.
If you’ve already been charged and want a refund, contact Norton Member Services & Support.
