How to cancel Google AI
The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.
Canceling
Google says Google AI plans can be canceled any time. If you subscribed through Google Play, manage it in Google Play subscriptions.
Monthly
Cancel anytime.

Subscriptions run until you unsubscribe.
Check your storage first
If you go back to 15 GB and use more, uploads stop and Gmail can be affected.
Google AI Pro is sold as a Google One plan, so you cancel it as a Google One membership.
On a computer
- Go to Google One.
- Click Settings → Cancel membership.
- Click Cancel membership again to confirm.
You should get a confirmation that the subscription is canceled. Google’s help page also has steps for Android and iPhone.
Want to keep some storage? You can move to a smaller Google One plan instead of canceling.
Bought through the App Store or Google Play?
- App Store: manage it from the App Store; refunds go through Apple support.
- Google Play: Google Play’s refund policies apply.
What happens when you cancel
- Payments stop, and you keep the plan until the end of the billing cycle.
- You and your family members go back to the free 15 GB each.
- Premium subscriptions included with the plan — for Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium Lite and Google Home Premium — end too.
If you’re over 15 GB after that, Gmail stops sending and receiving, Drive stops syncing and uploads, and Google Photos stops backing up until you free up space.
Refunds
Google says that in most countries, storage plan purchases are non-refundable.
