How to cancel Disney+
The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.
Canceling
Where you cancel depends on who bills you: Disney+ directly, an app store, or a partner. Bundles bought through Disney+ are managed in your Disney+ account.
Billed by Disney+
Cancel in your Disney+ account. A yearly Premium plan is paid up front.
Billed by someone else
If Apple, Google Play, Amazon or another partner bills you, cancel with them.
Deleting the app isn’t canceling
Payments continue until you cancel where you’re billed.
If Disney+ bills you
- Log in to DisneyPlus.com in a computer or mobile browser.
- Under Subscription, select your Disney+ subscription.
- Select Cancel Subscription.
You keep Disney+ until the end of the current term — how long depends on whether you pay monthly, yearly or are in a promotion. Canceling doesn’t delete your Disney+ account or your MyDisney login.
Pause instead of canceling
A monthly subscription billed by Disney+ can be paused in a browser: Profile → Account → your subscription → Pause Subscription, choose how long, and confirm. The pause starts on the first day of your next billing period; until then you can keep watching. During the pause you aren’t charged and can’t watch. Some plans can’t be paused.
Bundles and existing subscriptions
If you had Hulu, ESPN or HBO Max before upgrading to a bundle, canceling the original subscription keeps the bundle running — but canceling the bundle brings back your original subscription at its then-current price unless you cancel that too.
If someone else bills you
Subscriptions through a billing partner (an app store, phone or TV provider) are canceled with that partner. Hulu-billed bundles can be managed in Hulu or, where eligible, in Disney+.
