How to cancel CyberGhost VPN

The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.

Renewal and what the provider says about it

CyberGhost’s plans renew automatically: monthly, every 6 months, or — on the 2-year plan — annually after the first 2 years. Prices are in USD, and CyberGhost says taxes may apply based on your jurisdiction.

Prepaid term with auto-renewal

Monthly, every 6 months, or annually after the first 2 years.

Check the renewal amount before buying a long plan.

If you bought on the CyberGhost website

  1. Go to your CyberGhost account and select the profile logo at the top right.
  2. Select Subscriptions.
  3. Select Cancel Subscription.
  4. Select Continue To Cancel.

When you see “The automatic billing for your CyberGhost VPN subscription has been turned OFF”, it’s done. You can keep using CyberGhost until the end of the paid period. Canceling doesn’t delete your account.

If you bought through the App Store

On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CyberGhost VPN → Cancel Subscription, then confirm.

App Store purchases aren’t covered by CyberGhost’s money-back guarantee — refunds are up to Apple.

Google Play or Amazon

Cancel in the store you bought from.

Refunds

Canceling doesn’t refund anything by itself. If you’re eligible under CyberGhost’s refund policy — 45 days on longer plans, 14 on monthly — contact CyberGhost support.
