How to cancel Babbel

The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.

Canceling

Most Babbel subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel auto-renewal on babbel.com any time up to the day before the renewal date; you keep access until the expiration date. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are canceled there.

Recurring plans

Paid up front for the whole period, renewing for the same period.

Lifetime and vouchers

No recurring payments.

Deleting isn’t canceling

Removing the app or your account doesn’t stop renewals.

On babbel.com

  1. Log in at babbel.com.
  2. Click the profile icon (top right) and choose Profile and settings.
  3. Open Account Information.
  4. Choose the subscription and click Cancel auto-renewal.

If there’s no Cancel auto-renewal button, your subscription is already set not to renew — the expiration date is shown in your subscription information.

Google Play

Google Play Store → profile icon → Payment and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Babbel → Cancel subscription.

Apple App Store

On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Babbel → Cancel Subscription.

Timing

Cancel at any time up to the day before the renewal date. You keep access until the subscription expires, and you won’t be charged again.

Changing instead of canceling

Switching to another length, to all languages or to Lifetime on babbel.com cancels the old subscription automatically and credits the remaining paid time — except for Apple and Google subscriptions, which you cancel yourself.
