How to cancel Apple Music
The steps depend on WHERE you subscribed — directly, through your phone, internet or TV provider, or in an app store. Below are all the ways this service is sold and how to end each one.
Canceling
Apple Music has no commitment. Cancel on iPhone or iPad in Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Apple Music → Cancel Subscription, or from your Apple Account on the web, Mac, Windows or Android. If a carrier bills you, cancel with them.
Billed by Apple
Cancel any time; for a trial, at least 24 hours before it ends.
Billed by a carrier or provider
Contact the company that bills you.
No Cancel button?
Apple says it’s already canceled — or bought from another Apple Account or company.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Apple Music.
- Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down.
If there’s no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already canceled.
You can also cancel on the web, on a Mac, a Windows PC or an Android device.
Free month
To avoid being charged after the free month, Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Can’t find the subscription?
- Search your email for “receipt from Apple” or “invoice from Apple”.
- Check which Apple Account is on the receipt.
- Sign in to that account and cancel there. If it’s a family member’s account, they have to cancel it — you can’t cancel a family member’s subscription.
No receipt from Apple? Check your bank or card statement: a carrier or another company may bill you, and you cancel with them.
